Marigold is a period and cycle tracker for iPhone and Android. It is free, has no ads, and does not ask you to create an account. Everything you log is stored on your phone.
Log your period in one tap from the app or a home-screen widget, and add details such as flow, pain, mood, energy, sleep and your own custom symptoms when you want to. Marigold predicts your next period, fertile window and PMS up to 12 months ahead. Predictions are shown as a range with a confidence level instead of a single date, and a mode for irregular cycles shows ranges only and never uses the word late.
Insights show cycle and period length, how much your cycles vary, and which symptoms tend to appear in which phase. You can turn your history into a doctor report as a PDF, or export it as CSV, and both are created on your phone. Reminders for your period, fertile window and pill are scheduled on the device, with a discreet text option for the lock screen. App lock uses your phone's own screen lock. Pregnancy mode shows a due date and week counter.
What makes Marigold different is how it handles data. Your logs are kept in an encrypted database on your phone, and there is no Marigold server for them. Analytics and crash reports are off unless you opt in, and they never include health entries. Anything shipped as free stays free.
