Repvo privacy policy.

What the app collects, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated

This privacy policy explains what information Repvo (the app) collects, how RedFoxApps (we, us) uses it, and the choices you have. It covers the Repvo app for people in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We publish it at a permanent address so app stores and users can always find it.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to build your plan and save your workouts. That includes health information you choose to give us, like injuries or conditions.
  • We never sell your personal information and never use it for advertising.
  • Health information stays out of crash reports and analytics.
  • Usage analytics and crash reports are off unless you opt in.
  • You can see, export, correct or delete your data at any time.

Who we are

Repvo is published by RedFoxApps ("we", "us"). Postal address available on request by email. Our privacy contact can be reached at [email protected].

Information we collect

  • Profile. Goal, training experience, age, sex, height, weight, units, equipment and schedule. We use it to build a plan that fits you.
  • Health information. Health screening answers, injuries, pain areas, movement limits and conditions such as pregnancy or hypertension. We use it to leave out exercises that could aggravate them and to make your plan more cautious where needed.
  • Training data. Plans, workouts, sets, weights, reps and notes. We use it to track progress and keep your history.
  • Progress photos. Only if you add one to a workout. Photos are stored privately in your account, shown only to you, and never sent to analytics, crash reports or AI.
  • Account. Your email address, phone number, or an Apple or Google sign-in identifier, and the name Apple shares at sign-in, if you add an account. We use it to back up your data and restore it on a new phone.
  • Purchases. Subscription status and transaction IDs from Apple or Google. We never see your card details. We use it to unlock paid features and handle restores.
  • Notifications. A device token, only if you allow reminders, so we can send them.
  • Technical data. Device model, operating system version, app version and an app-generated ID, to fix bugs and keep the app secure. Crash reports are collected only if you opt in.
  • Usage (only with consent). Which screens you use and which features you try, to improve the app. Off unless you agree.
  • Messages you send us. Emails you send us, to reply to you.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts or microphone. Repvo accesses your camera or photo library only when you choose to add a progress photo.

Consumer health data

This section is our consumer health data privacy policy under Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370, Connecticut's consumer health data rules and similar laws. Wherever you live, we treat health information the same way.

  • What we collect: the health screening answers, injuries, pain areas, movement limits and conditions you enter, plus body measurements (height, weight) and the workouts you log.
  • Where it comes from: only from you, inside the app.
  • Why: to build, check and adjust your training plan, and to show your progress. Nothing else.
  • Consent: we ask for your consent in the app before you enter health information. You can skip those questions, and you can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the information in Profile or deleting your account.
  • Who receives it: only the service providers below that host our database (Google Firebase) and generate plans (Anthropic). They process it on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
  • What we never do: sell it, use it for advertising, or include it in crash reports or analytics.
  • Your rights: you can confirm whether we hold your health data, get a copy, ask us to delete it, and get a list of the service providers that received it. Email [email protected] or use the in-app controls. If we refuse a request you can appeal by replying to our decision, and if you are still unhappy you can contact your state Attorney General.

How we use information

  • To create your plan, check it against safety rules, and let you edit and track it.
  • To sync your data between your phone and our servers when you are online.
  • To manage your subscription and restore purchases.
  • To answer your messages and send essential account emails. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
  • To find and fix bugs, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects using automated processing. AI helps arrange your plan, and you can review and change every exercise in it.

Sharing with third parties

We only share personal information with service providers who help us run Repvo, under contracts that limit how they use it:

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): sign-in, database, file storage, cloud functions, notifications, and crash reports and analytics if you opt in. Crash reports never include health information.
  • Anthropic (Anthropic, PBC): generates the arrangement of your plan. It receives your profile answers and limitations, never your name or email. Under our agreement, this data is not used to train its models, and our plan function does not log it.
  • RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): subscription status. It does not receive health information.
  • Apple and Google app stores: they process your purchases under their own privacy policies.
  • YouTube (Google LLC): if you open an exercise video, YouTube handles that playback under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy still applies to your data.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Repvo contains no ads.

Storage, transfers and how long we keep data

Your data is stored on your phone and, once synced, on Google Cloud servers. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When your information leaves Canada, Australia or New Zealand, we stay accountable for it and require providers to protect it to a comparable standard.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data from our live systems within 30 days, and from backups when they cycle out. We keep limited records longer only when the law requires it, such as purchase records. Data that never left your phone is erased when you delete the app.

We protect data with encryption in transit, access rules that keep each person's data separate, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can:

  • see and export your data (Profile, then Settings, then Export)
  • correct your profile and health answers at any time
  • delete your account and data (Profile, then Settings, then Delete account, or by email)
  • turn usage analytics and crash reports on or off
  • ask us any question about your data

Email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will confirm your identity, then respond within 30 days (or sooner if your local law requires). We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

Rights by country

United States. If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon or another state with a privacy law, you have the right to know what we collect, access it, correct it, delete it, get a portable copy, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising and profiling. We do not sell or share data for targeted ads, and we only use sensitive information (including health data) to provide the app, so there is nothing to opt out of or limit. You can use an authorized agent, and you can appeal a decision by replying to it. Our disclosures under the California Consumer Privacy Act are the "Information we collect", "How we use information" and "Sharing with third parties" sections above.

Canada. We handle personal information under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, including Quebec's Law 25. You can access and correct your information and withdraw consent. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Australia. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Health information is sensitive information, and we only collect it with your consent. You can request access or correction. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

New Zealand. We follow the Information Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 2020. You can ask to access or correct your information. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Age limit

Repvo is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and update the date at the top of the page. Questions or requests: [email protected].
